I have been diving more into Adobe After Effects this summer and it’s been refreshing for me creatively. I’ve always been intimidated by the application. It is a very complex set of tools. I used to think the same thing about Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro, but now it all seems second nature.
My hope is that Adobe After Effects will be second nature as well. It already is starting to feel that way.
Those moments when you start using hot keys and shortcuts without even thinking about it is a fascinating feeling. Your hands just kind of know where to go on the keyboard. Boom. Bang. Pow. You make changes and magic happens.
Well… It’s not quite that simple, but you get the picture.
Learning new things can be quite draining and frustrating at times. To help release the stress, I take a few minutes off and play games on 메리트카지노.
Creating new ways to make a change in Adobe After Effects.
My most recent focus has been on how I can make a change in direction or a transition from one part to the next more dynamic. How can you add more character and life to something so simple in context? What can trigger attraction without too much work?
After going through a few tutorials online, it seems that color and direction of movement plays a big role in visual stimulation. They are the foundation of change. Especially in 2D animations. A simple reveal can be altered by inversion if colors and a change in direction.
My original transition.
I originally had these icons move into with no color change. They left in the same manner. I sat and pondered for a bit and though about what some of the tutorials had shown me. It wasn’t just following their directions. Their has to be more to what they are showing me. It was a golden “a ha!” moment when I realized how much a difference it made when they had me alter colors and change directions. It was simple, yet enticing.
So then I did just that. Just make everything opposite – for the most part.
My final transition.
So the next time you feel stuck working on project give thinking opposite a try. It might just turn your head. Literally.

AE is a great application. I use it mostly for corrections and quick title animations.
nice transition!

I used to only use AE for the same thing as you do. My team at work asked me if I could learn how to do more 2D animation work and I took it as an opportunity to get to know the software more and enhance my skills overall.
Check out Mt. Mograph and Skillshare. Awesome videos and tips on great scripts to make your work more efficient.
