New blog theme thanks to Array.

I jumped the gun today and updated my WordPress theme. I am actually really glad I did. As impulsive as it was, I am already thoroughly enjoying this look much better than my previous theme. It is very similar in function, but the design is much cleaner in my opinion. The theme I am using as of May 2014 will now be Publisher by Array.

The last theme I was using was called Engo, which I purchased from ThemeForest. It was great, but I had some issues with embedding videos (shortcode issue), font choice and most of the style guide that it came with. It had a great menu for changing the look of the theme, but when I made changes and saved, nothing would happen. The creator of the theme tried to help, but with my limited code knowledge I still could not get any shortcodes to work, which is a bummer.

I chose to go with Array because of their commitment to solid products and better customer service. I’m glad to be a paying customer. I might stick with them for a long time.
