When you become buried do you grow from what was sown or do you stay six feet under?
We all get to a point where we become buried. We are digging for answers and think we are making progress when in reality we are just burying ourselves. We become overwhelmed with all of the things we do, all of the things we take on. We think we have control. We think that wall of dirt won’t cave in, but eventually it can and it does.
So what do we do when we become buried? How can we survive?
Getting stuck in the messes that topple over us is not something we can prevent. No matter how hard we try. We needed to get all of these things done and they just fall apart. They turn to dirt. The dirt buries us and presses down on our chest. We feel like we can’t raise ourselves up. Ever again.
The reality is that when we become buried, we can harvest what we have sown.
It may not be the easiest start or the most beautiful beginning, but it’s something. We can take ourselves and redeem our mistakes. We have been strengthened by the weight of the earth on top of us. We can breathe new life into ourselves. We just have to be patient with ourselves and allow others to lend a hand. There is no shame in accepting help from others.
When have you been buried with things in your life? How did you rise from the earth again?
