Recently I was contacted by Skillshare.com about creating classes about Adobe After Effects for them. After having much success at work and learning the program mostly through Skillshare I feel like I am fit to teach the basics of it. I also believe that by teaching, I too am learning even more and getting better Everything from understanding shapes, using colors and creating assets for your compositions.
Design is a huge part of understanding the program because most of the time you have to be willing to create your own assets. In this class I will be teaching students how to bring a city or town to life. Hopefully one that represents where they are from.
I will show them the ropes of the program a bit, but then let their own creativity take control. That is how I teach myself. I see a process, but I it’s even more fun when I can make it personal and different in my own way.
We are all inspired by something we have seen before, but if we don’t add our personal touch, it’s difficult to grow. I have 2 weeks of vacation coming up and I’m hoping to get much of the ground work done for my very first class. It should be fun!
