My vision for my blog and what I publish is something I think about a lot. It can be hard to constantly try to write things that help others. It can be even harder to write about blogging and becoming a better communicator. That is something I even struggle with on my own.
There are moments when I’m in the middle of doing things that really bring me joy that I wonder why I don’t talk about what I love to do more often. It’s not that I don’t like to talk about life and communication, but it’s easy to run out of stories and context. Things that bring life to a discussion.
Guitar, music and stories.
I have made a bold decision to begin pursuing music more often than I used to. This includes being a part of new band – blog coming soon!, continuing to progress in my skills as well as sharing what guitar gear I use, how I use it and a few principals of playing and writing music. I want to dig into some philosophy of writing music, discovering style as well as featuring rigs and interviews with musicians from bands both big and small.
It’s all connected. Much like my pedalboard…
As much as this might seems like a strange turn in my blog, do not fear. I still will have candid thoughts to share on life and happiness. I am a strong believer that music is a part of happiness in life. Writing music can bring great joy to others and yourself. Being a vessel for musicians and listeners will be the focus. I want to support the music community through my thoughts, discussions and all the stories along the way.
Right now the plan is to start with some videos and blog posts about guitar pedals and writing music. It will then progress from there into quite a few other things – unknown at this very moment.
Music and everything around it is relatable to so many things in our life and I can’t wait to share all of these ideas and discussions with you. I hope it brings more joy and curiosity into your life. I also hope to aid musicians of all kinds as they try to learn to discover their style, tone, as well as marketing themselves to reach people that truly love their music. Blogging is a great tool for musicians and I am going to prove it through my own actions.
Music is bigger than notes in a melody. Songs become a part of your life.
My first pedal review will show up soon on my youtube channel – hopefully within the next month or so!
