My friends and I went up to upper Michigan yesterday to celebrate my father’s birthday, my birthday and Mother’s Day all in one shindig. It was nice to just be on the shore, have good food and be around family.
There is something interesting about going home though. I love it, but don’t want to stay. I like that I’m not there any more. There are a few things I miss like the lake shore and the quiet, but I miss out on so much if I just stay home.
You have to leave home and make your own.
