There must be so much more than we can see.

I’m a huge fan of Thrice. They have been a staple in my playlists of music for quite some time. I’ve purchased and preordered many of their CDs because I truly love the music they make. It is not just the musicianship they possess, but the lyrical messages they tell as well. There is so much we can take to heart with what they have to say.

I want to share with you the full chorus so you can understand the weight of this specific line I have chosen.

When we try to understand the courses set for our lives we tend to wonder sometimes “why?”. At times we question why the odds are against us. “Why is this not working?” Then we wonder why we are given such great opportunities when we feel like we aren’t ready or capable of doing things. All it can really take is for one person to believe in us. For one person to see who we really are. Who we are meant to be.

It can be hard to see what we are capable of on our own. We beat ourselves up when we don’t do something well. We might even feel like the progress we make is redundant or just not fast enough. We still keep moving and keep trying though. Just hoping for a sign.

When others see what we are doing they see so much more than we can see in ourselves. They see our determination. They see our failures. They see our head held high. Someone that just won’t give up.

They see a future leader.

If you are feeling like your work is going unnoticed, like you are making no progress or nothing seems to go right. Just keep on going. Keep trying to discover your true path. You are meant for something great. All it takes is for someone to see you were meant to be great and the opportunity will present itself.
