Dear younger me,
You are a coward.
It’s ok that you’re scared. That’s only natural. It’s okay that you are easily intimidated by difficult situations. Sometimes that fear can keep you safe from making big mistakes or getting yourself hurt.
But when opportunity arises and you just let it die and at times, I’m quite ashamed. Potential just washed away by your weak spirit. You know you are talented and even if you aren’t the best, you can get so much better.
Damn kid, you have it easy. Why do you run away and let it fade away? Why do you just wait for time to pass and yourself to forget?
Despite all the regret you will create for yourself, don’t worry. Your fears somehow led you where you needed to be as well. You won’t be a coward forever. I know this because I am making it happen right now. I am taking a stand for you, me and those I love.
I won’t let fear get in the way of my aspirations and commitments.
Failure is inevitable, but success is reachable.
