I have been very fortunate to have a job that fulfills many of my passions at the same time. I love working on projects with other people, producing videos, shooting photography, and editing audio. I get to do all of those things at my current job and it is has allowed me to grow in all of those different passions in their own special ways. I have always been the kind of person to just do what I love to do and invest in whatever it may be. I am not the kind of person to just give a little, I usually fully invest myself into my passions. When I am learning something new, I research, meet new people that have experience with it and just dive right in. To me, the learning process is my favorite part because I know it is going to lead me to something great. When you are in the beginning stages of a project or idea we all seem to have this fire inside of us that just gets fueled by our own curiosity.
Since I was 17 years old I have found myself enveloped by music and love the idea of writing what I want to write and try to just learn to be myself when I play and sing. Initially I had rockstar dreams to be famous, tour, and make the big bucks, but I am much happier now that I am writing and recording music just because I love to do it and there is no other motive. It is those passions that keep us happy, help us vent, and allow us to be a part of communities that we may have never been a part of before.
I encourage you to dive deep into what ever hobby or skill you may have or are developing, even if it’s not your day job or ever becomes your day job. Do it because you want to and because you love to do it without any exterior motive.
Below is a song I wrote and recorded within a 24hr time period. My skills that I have learned over the years have allowed me to write and record songs much faster than ever before and I couldn’t be more content with that.
