I feel like the word “wealth” is fairly misunderstood, abused and just lost in translation. It can easily be conveyed as a way to explain how much money you have at your disposal. That just seems like a wrong way of looking at it. Wealth should not be about finances. It should be about things of much greater value in our life.
According to the dictionary, wealth is an abundance of resources. Money and material things are temporary. It’s just a moment. It’s just a number. It pays our bills and sustains function in our life, but it doesn’t bring anything that resonates in our life.
What if wealth was about sharing our abundance of knowledge? Sharing things we have built ourselves with others. Not just keep things to ourselves, but let others celebrate great things with us. When we can share a great gift in our life, we become more thankful for it. It’s no longer just ours, it becomes communal. There is great power in togetherness.
I have been blessed in my life to be able to spoil others with my gifts. The other side of the coin has been true for me as well. Others have been so kind to share their wealth with me too. It’s what I like to call the great exchange. No one keeps points. That’s because we just keep on giving and sharing the wealth this those we love. When we do that, points don’t matter. Love matters.
What’s the point of having blessings in our life if we don’t share them with those we love?
