Time and time again I run across old friends or meet new ones and it’s the same story. This is even a story that I seem to live now and then. We’ll chat for a while, talk about aspirations and really dive into what we wish we could do some day. I’m sure you’ve been in that situation. You probably have dreams and ideas just like most people do.
I think we all have things we would like to accomplish, but when you put all the excuses aside, there is only one thing that is stopping you.
Yourself.
The most prominent excuse that I will usually hear from people is that they don’t know how to go about doing it. They don’t know enough to feel like they could even start. It’s understandable to think that we should know how to do something if we want to accomplish it. What most people forget is that the people they look up to and the people they have seen accomplish great things didn’t always know to do what they do. They didn’t have the knowledge to even succeed in the slightest when they started.
They were just like you. They were regular people. They still are regular people. We just tend to look at them in a different light. They have bills to pay, a family to take care of and struggle with the many same struggles you do. They are regular people doing outstanding things. It’s pretty damn cool.
So how did they go from regular to extraordinary? When was their wish finally granted?
Well it wasn’t some genie in a bottle that made them succeed in their aspirations. It was all them and probably a few awesome friends along the way. They went from knowing next to nothing to everything they needed to reach their goal. If you were to even ask them today if they know everything, they would probably tell you that they don’t. As much as we think the people we look up to know everything, they are constantly trying to figure things out just like we are.
The big change that made everything happen for them was that they simply took the first step and began to move forward. There is no secret recipe for success. They just started learning. They researched. They began to seek help from others. They put in a ton of work and they still do. They usually have no idea how to start, they just do. They just figure it out.
I’ve been working on writing my first ebook and I have never done it before. I have no experience in being a published author. My only experience I have in writing is school and blogging both here and on many other blogs. I wasn’t given some form of instructions on how to write my book either. I just started writing it. I’ve been figuring out each step of the process out of pure curiosity and research. Once it is all said and done I’ll be able to help others, just as others have helped me figure it out.
It’s strange really.
You kind of just figure it out.
If you want it bad enough, you will find a way. When it’s all over, you will do it again. Over and over again.

Thanks Will! Once this book is done, I am taking a short break and then working on another. My hope is to write two ebooks per year. Once I start rolling it is like a snowball! :)

Awesome! Keep it up! I’m really enjoying your blog so I’m sure the ebooks will be the same.
