Courage is a by-product of fear.
It may seem strange and unfortunate, but fear tends to do a lot of good for us. No matter how horrible it may seem, when all the bad things are put aside, we realize how much we have grown through fear. The next time fear approaches us, we have more courage to face it. We have more determination to defeat it. We have the strength to pursue what is beyond the fears that mentally destroy us.
Courage is the mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger or difficulty.
Having courage doesn’t mean you have to battle a dragon, scale a mountain or save a child from a burning home, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t do those things.
We all face small battles every single day.
Battles with ourselves. Mental battles to get things done around the house, to try and not buy things we don’t need to get out of debt, to complete a project you have had on the back burner. Procrastination is a battle many of us face all the time. We struggle with eating right. We have difficulty keeping with our exercise routine. We have a hard time keeping our mouth shut so we don’t offend others.
The battles go on and on. We are constantly at war with ourselves.
Courage gives us hope.
Despite how difficult life may seem, all these discomforts carve us into great warriors and soldiers of our own lives. Our pursuit for a greater good and happy life drive us forward. Courage is the hope derived from fear. It is strange, but it is so true.
So don’t be afraid of fear, embrace it.

Fear truly builds “The Spiritual Warrior”…and our goal of reaching our true “Self”. Scares the bejeezus out of me, and many days/times I don’t cope as well as I should/could. We should embrace our failures and use them as a road map to our successes. Keep feeding me these words Jacob…when I need them! Love this blog and your plans for a book. Count me in for one when you are done! And if I wasn’t so dang busy trying to build a business (and hitting road blocks and “lulls”) I would love to somehow collaborate. Who knows…self work builds creativity……
