I came across the band Hidden Hospitals last spring. I was a fan of the vocalist’s old band Damiera back in 2008 and I was curious what the band was up to and ran across this new music video. The song has very groovy, driving, and atmospheric tones to it. I love every minute of it. The shots were done with very low apertures to create a dramatic perception of depth in such a small room. That is what is great about DSLR videos. You are able to mask and reveal subjects very easily with low aperture lenses. The progression from dim to bright lighting through the video is also very cool.
