When life changes, we transform.
I think that is one thing that most of us don’t even realize. We are so focused on the life event we are facing. We have to move to another home or apartment. My wife is divorcing me. I lost my job. My father has passed away. All of these situations truly force us to deal with things we don’t really want to deal with. For some reason, all of these uncomfortable and difficult situations always seem to arrive at the most inconvenient times too. They just seem to work out that way.
Through hardship we sow seeds for future harvest.
When we handle situations on our own terms, we start to learn how to deal with them. We begin to control the situation and before you know it, it is in the past. During the creation process we plant seeds of hope that it will work out. We make decisions that are difficult and sacrificial, but they usually have the best outcomes. When the situation has finally resolved or passed with time, we can reflect on how we dealt with this difficulty.
We now know that we can probably handle with the future has to bring. We have grown through the incident and we have harvested the lesson learned. We truly are a different person than we were. We have scars to prove, stories to share, and a different outlook on what is and isn’t difficult to us personally.
