From time to time we can easily get caught up in the mistakes we made in our past or even the uncontrollable variables that brought us down. The most resonating problems are usually from yesterday. We just keep on digging into how we could have done yesterday better. We keep blaming ourselves and wishing it was different.
I want you to consider this idea though. Just hear me out.
You cannot change the past. What ever happened, happened. Why sink deeper into our regrets that create sorrow when we can focus on today and make our current situation better? You don’t have the opportunity to change yesterday, but today is here, now, and completely malleable.
The difference between yesterday and today is that you have a chance to make it better.
You can take the mistakes, failures and mishaps of yesterday and learn from them to create solutions for today. It can even weave into tomorrow. We have the ability to plan and focus on the change rather than focus on written history. History that just brings up bad vibes within us.
It’s time to take the bad and create some good. You can’t argue that good things are…..well……..a good thing!
I encourage you to take some time today and write down with a pen and paper all the things you can do to make today better. Not only for yourself, but for someone else too. Doing good feels good. It’s not about getting the recognition, it’s about being a part of a greater solution.
Solutions don’t meet their resolutions overnight, but they make progress with each new day and that’s a damn good thing.
