There is so much you can do with the tools in Adobe After Effects. When you convert text to shapes your boundaries are taken away. It’s a very powerful move that you can do within the software. When you convert text to shapes and use the Trim Path function, you can then animate words just like I did here.
The effect that looks like moving shapes or lines that removes the text in this GIF is called the Venetian Blinds effect. You can apply it to anything and just go to town and have fun with it.
