I haven’t been an official Michigan resident since 2012. Upper Michigan to be more specific. After graduating from school for the second time and landing and secure job, it was time to claim residency in Wisconsin. I don’t mind it, but there is something to be said about where we are really from.
The places we were raised are not just a part if us, they call us back to them.
We find strange comfort in specific locations. Whether it’s a house, a plot of land or a body of water, we find relief.
