There are many small parts of the amazing adventures that Link goes on in The Legend of Zelda games which ware as fun as the games at King casino. I first came across the spiritual stones in Ocarina of Time back when I was about 11 years old. The Ocarina of Time is probably still my favorite Zelda game, but I feel like it’s mostly for nostalgic reasons beyond how awesome it is (in my opinion).
This is my third contribution to a series of images created to celebrate The Legend of Zelda in my own style. This is my second GIF in the series.
I referenced an image from a N64 screen shot and then build the stones accordingly in Adobe Illustrator and then did the rest in Adobe After Effects.
I wanted the color dashes that reveal the stones to represent the three golden goddesses – Din, Nayru, and Farore. The gold dash represents the power of the Triforce, which the spiritual stones provide access to in the game. You can learn more details about the spiritual stones here.
I have thoroughly enjoyed making GIFs about The Legend of Zelda series because it inspires me to think critically and explore my skill sets in the Adobe Create Suite. If you want to get better at something, do it through something you love. In this case, my love for this video game series helps me create fun GIFs while I enhance my skills as a 2D motion designer.
More to come!
